LTI 1.1 Manual Setup

This guide will provide steps for adding Nearpod to the LMS using the LTI 1.1 XML configuration. This integration only supports SSO capabilities. 

If you are looking for LTI 1.3, please select the LMS that your School or District uses:

Manual Steps

Generate a Key and Secret for LTI 1.1

All LTI 1.1 integration requires a key and secret entered into the LMS. To generate the key and secret for your LMS, please follow the steps below.

1. Open nearpod.com and sign into your District or School admin account. 
2. In the left navigation, select Manage Nearpod
3. In the left navigation, select LMS Integration Setup
4. Under LTI 1.1 setup, click on Generate Key and Secret link
5. Copy and paste the two items into your LMS

Use the provided XML configuration to your LMS through the LTI 1.1 setup process. 

If your LMS does not support an XML configuration, please double check that there is not a LTI 1.3 setup available to you in our Help Center.
