If you are getting an error that looks like this image, please follow the steps below.
Steps
- Please reach out to your LMS administrator or your IT Department and provide them this support article.
- Use a website to check or test your domain for SSL Certificates errors. For example, this site https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/
- If your domain has any SSL certificate errors, please fix those errors and try the LMS setup and launch again. This above error page should no longer show if all SSL certificate information is passing and up-to-date.
Why am I getting this error?
The SSL certificate is an internet security protocol. Some LMS users will use their own servers to maintain their LMS instance and thus need to maintain the SSL certificate to those servers for security purposes. When an LMS is using the Nearpod LTI 1.3 tool, Nearpod also checks for the servers SSL certificates and if something is outdated or not passing our integration, it will not allow anyone to pass through.
