Get more storage, student joins, and lesson creation and delivery features when you upgrade Nearpod. Individual teachers can purchase a Gold or Platinum license, or site licenses are available for Schools and Districts to unlock the full instructional power of Nearpod and support teachers' needs. This article explains how individual teachers can upgrade their account. For information about School and District options, please visit nearpod.com/pricing/.

Here's how

1. Visit nearpod.com/pricing and choose the plan that works best for you. Then, click on the button under that plan.

2. Once you select a plan type, enter your payment and address information and click "Complete purchase." Sales tax will populate after your address is entered.



3. After completing the purchase, you will receive an email confirmation of your order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you allow purchase orders for individual teacher licenses (i.e. Gold or Platinum)?

No, we do not accept purchase orders for individual teacher licenses. Individual licenses can be purchased here!

How long are individual teacher licenses valid?

Individual teacher licenses are valid for one year from the date of purchase and are automatically renewed each year.

What is Nearpod’s upgrade policy if I’m paying for a license and my school or district purchases a School or District edition and adds my account to it?

For individual purchases (i.e. Gold or Platinum), if there are six months or more remaining on your Nearpod subscription and your school and/or district get a school/district account, Nearpod will provide you a prorated refund for the unused portion of the Gold or Platinum account. Please contact support@nearpod.com for more information.

Does Nearpod collect sales tax on individual teacher licenses?

Yes, applicable sales tax will be collected when purchasing or renewing an individual teacher license.

Does Nearpod provide a receipt for individual teacher license purchases?

Yes, you will automatically receive a receipt that will be sent to the email address on the account.

Do you allow changes to receipts for individual teacher license purchases?

No, we are unable to make changes to receipts for individual teacher license purchases.

Can I purchase more than one individual teacher license at a time?

No, individual teacher licenses can only be purchased by upgrading each individual account. If you would like to purchase multiple licenses, we’d love to talk to you about our school and district licenses.

Can I purchase an individual teacher license by phone?

No, for your security we do not accept individual teacher license purchases by phone.

How do I cancel my individual teacher license?

If you’d like to cancel your individual teacher license, please send an email to support@nearpod.com from the email address associated with your account. We are only able to process cancellation requests from the email address associated with your account for privacy and security reasons.

What happens when an individual teacher license expires?

When you downgrade from a paid account license to a free license, lessons will be archived on our servers but not accessible to you. Once you re-upgrade, all archived lessons will be restored automatically. If, for some reason, you seem to be missing lessons you can reach out to support@nearpod.com and we will be happy to assist you.

Do you offer refunds for individual teacher licenses?

You will be charged annually on the day you start your paid Nearpod account. All fees and charges are prepaid and nonrefundable, and there are no refunds for partially used periods, so don’t let your account sit picking up dust!
