How to use Microsoft Sway in a Nearpod lesson

Microsoft Sway allows you to easily create simple websites and presentations that you can share with your students. With Sway, teachers can re-imagine how they present lessons to their students. By embedding your Sway into your Nearpod lesson, you can check for understanding with Nearpod's formative assessment features, and create a simple delivery experience for students.

Teach with Microsoft Sway

When students reach a Sway in a Nearpod lesson, they will be able to explore the content independently on their device.

As the teacher, you will also see the Sway on your device in Live Participation mode.

Add Microsoft Sway into your Nearpod lesson:

With Nearpod, you can add a Sway that you've created, or choose one of the pre-built Sways within Nearpod. Here's how to add a Sway to your lesson:

1. While editing your lesson, select Add Slide

2. Choose Sway from the Content tab

3.  If you'd like to add a pre-built Sway, use the filters on the left to find the perfect Sway for your lesson. 
If you'd like to add a Sway you've created, click "My Sways" at the bottom of the menu. You can also click "Create new Sway" to create a new Sway.*

*requires Office 365 account

4. Once you choose the Sway you'd like to add, select Add Sway.
