How to use Flocabulary Videos in a Nearpod lesson

Teachers with school or district access to both Nearpod and Flocabulary can seamlessly add Flocab videos to their Nearpod lessons. If you have a Lite Flocab account, you can use a weblink to add your favorite videos to a lesson. This article covers the Nearpod<>Flocabulary integration available to teachers with school or district access to both platforms.

In this article, you'll learn how to:

Teach with Flocabulary Videos

During a Student-Paced lesson, when students reach a Flocabulary video, they will press play on their device. The student will be able to adjust the speed from original, slower and slowest speed.  They will listen and follow along.

In a Live Participation lesson, you will be able to choose if students can play the video on their devices (All Devices), or if the video will only play on the teacher device (This Device). You can choose to apply this for the rest of your lesson, or just for this video.

Add a Flocabulary Video into your Nearpod lesson:

If your school or district has access to both Nearpod and Flocabulary, you can add a Flocabulary video to your lesson all from within Nearpod. If not, use a weblink to add Flocabulary to your lesson. If you use a weblink, you can project the video, or students can log in to watch on their device.

Here's how to add a video from within Nearpod:

1. While editing your lesson, select Add Slide
